Túra podél Medicine Bow Ridge. Pořád nás neopustilo nadšení z toho, jak krásně tu máme, takže jsme fotili jak diví. Vraceli jsme se stejnou cestou, takže některé záběry jsou velmi podobné — jenom je krajina rozdílně nasvětlená. Na konci výletu jsme objevili pišťuchu — ano, skutečně existuje zvíře, které se takto jmenuje — a oprávněně, protože na nás zlostně pískalo. Tento příbuzný králíka přežívá v doupatech ve vysokých nadmořských výškách a na zimu si suší seno a bylinky.
Hike along Medicine Bow Ridge. We have not yet lost our enthusiasm from discovering how beautiful it is here, and we took pictures like crazy. Returning along the same path, too, hence some shots are very similar — only the light in the landscape was different. At the end of the hike, we discovered a pika — angrily whistling at us. A relative of a common rabbit, it survives winter in dens at high altitudes by drying and hoarding hay and herbs.

Beehive: Zaujala nás velká skála v Sherman Mountains — k mé radosti se z ní vyklubala krásná cvičná skalka na sportovní lezení — navíc situovaná na jih, takže za větrem a na slunci. Pod Beehive bylo krásně, o kousek výše, venku z lesíka lezavý ledový vítr jak z Mrazíka.
Beehive: We were attracted by a large rock in Sherman Mountains — which, to my joy, turned out to be a beautiful climbing wall — moreover, facing south, thus downwind and in the sun. Under the Beehive it was pleasant, a little higher up, out of the grove, a creepy icy wind was blowing.
